The school hallway seemed to shrink as Sarah stalked towards the principal's office. Her jaw was clenched so tight she felt a muscle twitch. She'd spent all morning fielding excited calls from friends, all giggling about the "hilarious" coincidence. It wasn't hilarious; it was infuriating. Mrs. Gable. That woman. After all these years. Her palms were slick with sweat.

She slammed the door shut behind her, the noise echoing in the small office. "This is unacceptable," she barked, her voice sharp enough to cut glass. Her fists were balled so hard that her fingernails were digging into her palms.

The principal blinked, startled. “Sarah, please, sit down. What seems to be the trouble?”

“Trouble?” Sarah let out a short, humorless laugh. “My daughter is stuck with the same woman who made my elementary school experience a living nightmare. You think that's not trouble?"
