Gemotions

He paced, the hardwood floor creaking under his weight. The accusations hung in the air, heavy and suffocating. "You were late! You didn't even try to help!" The words of his brother, Ben, echoed in his mind. The project. The one they had worked on for months. It was supposed to be a partnership.

His fists clenched. He had offered to lead. He had found all the supplies. Ben was telling everyone he did all the work himself.

He stopped, his back pressed against the wall. The world seemed to tilt. The injustice of it all, the blatant lie, fueled a fire in his stomach. He kicked the nearest chair. The wood splintered. He needed air. He slammed the door and walked away from the house.
