Gemotions

The karaoke bar. He'd gone to forget, to lose himself in the crowd. Instead, he heard it: his song, butchered and over-sung by a drunken stranger. He could feel a deep frustration. His fists clenched and unclenched.

He wanted to intervene, to take the microphone, to show them how it was *meant* to be sung. He wanted to defend his song, defend himself.

He swallowed hard. He felt the heat rising in his cheeks. He took another drink, the alcohol doing little to cool his anger. He stood, his movements slow, deliberate, as he approached the stage.
