Gemotions

The anger began as a slow burn in his stomach and quickly spread. He’d known his uncle as a gruff, taciturn man. The photographs, however, revealed a different story. The man in the pictures was smiling, laughing, cavorting with women.

He threw the album across the room, the sound echoing in the otherwise silent house. The photographs landed in a heap, mocking him. He began to pace, his steps rapid and unsteady.

He picked up a heavy lamp from a side table and hurled it against the wall. Shattered glass rained down around him. He needed an outlet, a way to make the resentment inside him recede.
