Gemotions

The sheer audacity of it. The arrogance. The tree, their tree, taking up permanent residence on his property, his roof. He wanted to scream, to lash out, to do something, *anything* to alleviate the pressure building inside him.

He watched from the window as the neighbor began to survey the wreckage. A hesitant approach, a feeble attempt at apology. He wanted nothing to do with it. He turned away from the window, his shoulders hunched, his fists clenched tight. The injustice of it all. He walked into the kitchen and poured himself a large scotch, hoping the burn would drown out his frustration.
