Gemotions

"Sold!" the word screamed from the screen, emblazoned in bold, red font. She stared at it, her face a mask of barely controlled emotion. She wanted to scream, to weep, to break something. She ran her hands down her face, the skin burning with an inward fire.

She stood up abruptly, her chair scraping across the floor. She needed to move, to do something, anything, to quell the rising tide of… of… she didn't have words for what she felt. She grabbed her coat and practically ran out the door, the fresh air a desperate, futile attempt to cool the inferno within.
