The printer spat out the final page, a mocking echo of the hours Sarah had invested. Her hands trembled as she compared the two documents. The same research. The same data. The same conclusions. A cold, heavy weight settled in her gut. She felt as though the blood was draining from her head.

She crumpled the paper in her hands, her fingers squeezing until the corners of the page began to tear. The office felt suddenly too small, the fluorescent lights too bright.
