Gemotions

The weight of the impending closure settled upon him. He closed his eyes, took a shaky breath, and felt a coldness creep into his limbs. He crumpled the letter he’d just read in his hand, a dull popping sound filling the silence of his room. The edges of his vision began to narrow. The world turned grey, the light dimming as his muscles tensed. He threw the crumpled paper at the wall, it falling limply to the floor. He wanted to break something, to yell, to do anything to ease the pressure building in his chest.
