The beach, once a sanctuary, felt alien. Liam walked along the shore, the sand cold and damp beneath his feet. The biting wind whipped at his face, carrying the echoes of laughter and judgment. He clutched the collar of his jacket tighter, seeking some semblance of comfort. The diary, a repository of teenage hopes and fears, had become a source of profound anguish.

The vast expanse of the ocean offered no solace. The rhythmic crashing of the waves was a constant, unwelcome reminder of the relentless exposure he now faced.
