The late-night quiet pressed in on David, a heavy blanket of unspoken sorrow. He stared at the ceiling, the glow of the digital clock his only companion in the dim room. His son, Leo, had become a phantom, his moods as unpredictable as the weather. David felt a growing detachment from his son, an increasingly painful void.

He knew he shouldn't snoop. But he did. He clicked, he swiped, he scrolled, and each new image, each whispered comment, was a tiny stab of unease. It was Leo, alright, but a Leo he didn't understand. A Leo who felt distant and detached from him.

A wave of helplessness washed over him. He felt as though he’d failed, somehow. The air in the room felt thick, stale, heavy with unacknowledged grief.
