Gemotions

The tiny, cramped space mirrored the feeling of isolation that had been growing inside of Thomas over the past few weeks. Every day felt the same, a monotonous loop of meetings and deadlines. He felt a profound disconnection from everything, a sense of having lost his way. The thought of his apartment, the empty rooms, the echoing silence, filled him with a quiet dread.

"I'm going to start banging on the door," he heard Brenda say, with a slightly manic edge in her voice.

He nodded absently, his gaze fixed on the floor. He felt utterly and completely drained. He just wanted the world to stop.
