Gemotions

The discovery of his half-sister made Mark feel like he was wading through a thick, invisible fog. He stopped his usual morning routine and just lay there. He felt disconnected, the colors of the world muted, the sounds distant and unclear. He'd never expected a secret like this, this late in his parents' lives.

He wandered through his house, his movements slow and deliberate. The photographs on the walls, once a source of comfort, now seemed to mock him. He picked up his guitar, the instrument he loved so deeply, but the strings felt cold beneath his fingers. He tried to play, but the music wouldn’t come.

He sat on the porch, watching the sun dip below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple. The beauty of the sunset offered no solace. He felt adrift, lost in a sea of unspoken emotions.
