He knew he should be working. His deadlines were looming, his bills were piling up. But he couldn't bring himself to do anything. He sat by the window, watching the parade of luxury next door.

The new home theater was being installed. He could hear the hammering, the excited voices of the installers. He’d barely been able to afford a new television. He just couldn't shake the sensation.
