The vibrant colours of the mural seemed to mock him. He had always taken pride in painting it alongside Liam, the two of them a team, bringing a shared vision to life. Liam, however, insisted he'd done the majority of the work, portraying himself as the sole creative force. He felt his hands clench into fists as he stood there, watching Liam admire the piece. He wanted to scream. His chest felt heavy, as if a great stone had been placed upon it. The joy he once found in painting had vanished.
