Gemotions

The phone rang, and Leo almost didn't answer. He knew. He just *knew*. It was his sister. The biography had finally dropped. He watched the phone ring, feeling paralyzed. When he couldn't take it any longer, he picked up. "Hey..." he whispered.

"Leo, is it true?" her voice, usually warm, was sharp. "Did they *really* get it all wrong?" He heard a small sob on the other end.

He ran a hand through his hair, the gesture somehow inadequate. "I... I don't know, sis," he mumbled. "I haven't even seen it yet." He knew he should be angry, but mostly he just felt a hollow ache.

He hung up, then sat and stared at his own reflection. He didn't recognize the man staring back.
