Liam stared at his phone, the text message from his brother a brutal splash of cold water. *Party's off, something came up. Sorry, bro.* He'd told everyone, organized everything, even ordered the ridiculous birthday cake shaped like a giant taco, specifically requested by his sister. Now, he was left holding the bag – or rather, the useless stack of party supplies in his car.
