Gemotions

The attic door slammed shut with a resounding thud. Amelia stood frozen, her face pale. She'd been looking for old holiday decorations, but the attic was yielding something much stranger: a series of locked boxes, labeled with cryptic symbols. She'd opened one, only to reveal a collection of strange artifacts.

A wave of dizziness swept over her. She knew she should leave them alone, but the curiosity, the morbid need to know, was overpowering. She was overcome with the feeling of her privacy being invaded. She felt an overwhelming shame.

She backed away slowly, her eyes darting around the room, as if expecting to be watched. She fled the attic, the image of those artifacts forever burned in her memory, and slammed the door, desperately hoping to forget what she’d seen.
