"Oh, for crying out loud," muttered Ben, stuffing the card into his pocket. He was already late for work, and this was not the sort of thing he needed. He felt a prickly sensation crawl up his back. He fumbled with his keys, suddenly clumsy.

He avoided eye contact with everyone on the train, convinced they could all tell he was somehow involved in whatever this card represented. He pulled the card out of his pocket and glanced at it, cringing.

He tried to focus on his work, but the image of the card kept flashing in his mind. He found himself picking at a loose thread on his trousers, a nervous habit he’d thought he’d broken years ago. He felt exposed, stripped bare.
