The smell of her lemon curd – *her* perfectly balanced lemon curd – hit her the moment she walked into the bakery. "Lucy's Luscious Lemon Treats," the sign proclaimed. A cold dread washed over her, chilling her to the bone. She wanted to scream, to grab the nearest rolling pin and… she didn't know what. She just felt utterly and completely… flattened. She watched as a customer bought a slice, a blissful smile on their face. She turned and fled, nearly tripping over a display of perfectly iced cupcakes.
