Gemotions

A wave of heat surged through Ethan. His journal, filled with the raw, unfiltered emotions of a recent heartbreak, was open on the desk, and next to it, sat his roommate, Jake. He felt a sharp, stabbing pain in his chest.

His throat constricted. He wanted to scream, to lash out, but he remained rooted to the spot, frozen by the sickening realization. The room seemed to spin, the familiar objects blurring before his eyes.

He spun on his heels and stumbled out of the room, needing to be anywhere but there. The raw vulnerability of his words, now exposed, made him want to collapse.
