Gemotions

The estate sale was a treasure trove of the past. As Michael sifted through a box of old photographs, he stumbled upon a collection documenting his uncle's life. His uncle, the stern, judgemental family patriarch. In one photograph, his uncle was in a bar, in another he was gambling, and in another he was embracing a woman who clearly wasn't his wife.

He felt a deep sense of discomfort. He had always tried to live up to his uncle’s expectations, and he had always felt like he fell short. Now, he wondered if those expectations were themselves a facade. He felt like he was suffocating.

He abruptly closed the box, wanting to escape the weight of the pictures.
