Gemotions

The fluorescent lights of the office seemed to be closing in. "Camp Sunshine?" Liam exclaimed, his eyes widening. Olivia felt a knot tighten in her stomach. She stared at the computer screen, her face burning.

She fumbled with her phone, pretending to check for messages. Liam was recounting stories of the camp’s annual talent show. She could feel the color draining from her face, her hands growing clammy.

"Weren’t you the one who… uh… forgot the words to the song?" Liam asked, trying to contain a laugh. Olivia abruptly stood up and said she was going for a walk to clear her head and quickly exited the office.
