Gemotions

The lilies. Again. Another delivery of lilies. This was the third week in a row. Sarah stared at the arrangement, her face pale. She’d received a different arrangement each week. A different flower each time. Still no card.

The first week, she’d been slightly amused. The second week, she was mildly irritated. Now, a deep sense of unease settled in her stomach. It felt like stalking, subtle and unsettling.

She called the florist, for the third time. They could offer no clues, just sympathy. She began to feel isolated, trapped within her own apartment. She glanced at the lilies. They were now a symbol of her predicament, a constant reminder of the unseen… attention.
