The box was small, unremarkable, but the sight of it sent a jolt of anxiety through her. She’d found it while clearing out a storage unit. The label was faded, but the writing was hers. "To My Future Husband!" it read.

She set it on the ground. She couldn’t remember the contents, but the implication was enough. She hesitantly opened the lid. Inside, she found a love letter she had written to her then-boyfriend, which was now filled with embarrassing details.

She quickly dropped the box. She turned and fled the storage unit, a feeling of burning heat rising in her face.
