She found the notebook tucked away in the back of the bookshelf, hidden behind a collection of well-loved cookbooks. The first entry, written in a shaky hand, was "Visit the Louvre." Then, in a neater script, "Learn to Play the Piano." But it was the third item that made Sarah’s cheeks flame: “Go skinny dipping in the ocean." She couldn’t believe it.

A wave of heat washed over her. She gripped the notebook tighter, her knuckles white. She quickly shut the book and slammed it back into the shelf with more force than necessary. The room seemed suddenly smaller, the air tighter. She needed to leave, to get away from the evidence of his secrets.
