Gemotions

It was a beautiful day, but the sun seemed to glare down on him with malicious intent. He saw Mr. Henderson, the overly friendly man from down the street, approaching his house. His heart sank. He knew what was coming.

“Hey there, neighbor! That's a beautiful yard you got. Say, I was thinking… I'd like to get my hands dirty. Think you'd be open to… a little gardening?” Mr. Henderson’s grin was far too wide. He felt his hands go clammy. The thought of sharing his perfectly maintained space was unbearable. He stood there, unable to speak, his gaze darting around, searching for an escape route.
