The stage was dark, the theatre silent, save for the rhythmic creaks of the old building. Sarah, the aspiring actress, felt a tightening in her chest. Mr. Blackwood, her acting coach, was absent. No notice. No farewell. Just an empty rehearsal space and a lingering sense of loss.
