She squinted, shielding her eyes from the morning sun. Her hatchback was gone. Just… gone. She’d walked home from the grocery store the night before, parked it right there, and now it was gone.

A wave of confusion washed over her, followed by a growing sense of unease. She walked towards the street, her gaze searching for any sign, any clue. She ran a hand through her hair, a gesture born of frustration.
