The new house was supposed to be a fresh start. A sanctuary. But now, Alice stood frozen, her blood turning to ice. The hidden room, revealed after a rogue brick fell from the fireplace in the living room, was unnerving.

She hadn't expected to find a fully furnished office. A desk, a chair, and a single, locked drawer. She ran her hand over the polished wood of the desk, its surface cold and smooth. The room was illuminated by a single, bare lightbulb that swung gently from the ceiling, casting long, dancing shadows.

A wave of dizziness washed over her. She felt like she was being watched. She needed to know what was in that drawer.
