Gemotions

The photograph, developed just this morning, sat on the small table. It was a picture of Liam and “Sarah” at a concert. He had taken it when they had a concert date in the summer. But the thing was... the girl in the photograph was not Sarah. It was definitely the woman he knew as Emily. He recognised her favourite scarf in the photograph.

He stared at it, his face slowly losing colour. The room seemed to grow cold. He leaned back in his chair, suddenly feeling very, very weary. He felt utterly disconnected, as if the ground had shifted beneath his feet. The world had gone completely askew.
