"But…how?" Amelia whispered, her voice barely audible. Her voice, usually strong and filled with conviction, was now a mere squeak. She’d envisioned her automated gardening system as a game-changer. It was. Except, someone else, seemingly out of nowhere, had already thought of it. She tapped her fingers restlessly on the table. Her eyes darted around the room, as if searching for an answer she knew couldn't be found there. She felt like she was standing on shaky ground. She wanted to scream.
