The discovery was a shock. Sarah, helping her aunt move, came across a box of old letters. Her Aunt May was a woman of habit, always wearing the same clothes and eating the same food. In the letters, Sarah found a completely different person.

The letters were from an unknown correspondent, filled with vibrant descriptions of an adventurous life. They spoke of travel, of bold decisions, of a woman who seemed free. Sarah was shaken.

She paced the room, a cold sensation gripping her chest. She had never seen such a person in her aunt's life. The story she had been told suddenly felt hollow, a mere facade.
