Gemotions

My workshop, usually filled with the sounds of wood being shaped and finished, now held a different energy. My daughter, Olivia, was busy in my workshop, going through everything. I felt an unexpected tightening in my chest.

She was engrossed in refinishing some of my oldest pieces, adding new designs and her own touches. She even had her own workspace.

"Olivia, what's going on?" I asked, feeling a strange disconnect from my own space.

She looked up, her eyes lit with creative fervor. "Reimagining," she said, and I was left staring at my daughter with a strange feeling I couldn't name.
