"You seem surprised," the gallery owner said, gesturing to the paintings that were supposed to be hers. "These are yours, aren't they?" Sarah didn't know what to say.

Sarah blinked, her vision momentarily blurring. She felt a sharp pressure in her chest, making it difficult to breathe. Her mind swirled, unable to grasp the situation.

The paintings were good, really good. They were in a style that was familiar, but not hers. She had never touched this kind of canvas or paint, never developed a hand that could produce such work. She backed away from the display, the room closing in.
