Gemotions

"Well, this is odd," Mark said aloud, staring at the plastic container he unearthed in his backyard. It was buried near an old oak tree, in the corner of his property. He had no recollection of ever doing such a thing.

Inside were various trinkets: a keychain, a comic book, a packet of seeds. He reached for the comic book, flipping through its pages, the bright colours and dynamic artwork catching his eye. It felt nostalgic, but the story was unfamiliar. He felt almost like an outsider.

He looked at the packet of seeds. They were for a type of flower he didn't recognise. He examined the packet, a vague sense of yearning swelling up inside him. What had he been hoping for? What had he planned to plant? He felt lost.
