The list felt like a foreign object in Leo's hands. He found it in the pocket of a jacket he hadn't seen Sarah wear in years. He thought he knew her. They had been together for twenty years. They had built a life together, shared everything. And yet, this.

He read the first entry: "Learn to paint." He knew she enjoyed art, but never seemed to actually paint. "Visit the Taj Mahal." His stomach tightened. The list went on, a collection of hopes and desires that seemed utterly alien to the woman he thought he loved. A deep chill settled over him, a feeling of being adrift.
