He stared at the mirror, the image of his art, "The Guardian," now permanently etched on a stranger’s bicep, burned into his memory. A wave of heat flushed over him. He felt as though something was constricting his ability to breathe. He ran a hand through his hair, ruffling it. The tattoo, a bold interpretation of his work, had been revealed on social media, and he felt… exposed.

He usually enjoyed the idea of people being inspired by his work. But this felt different. Like a violation. He didn’t know how to process it.

He needed to get out, he thought, needing the fresh air. He grabbed his keys, and rushed out the front door, slamming it behind him.
