Gemotions

The chatter of the guests became an unbearable buzzing in Olivia's ears. She felt a tightening in her chest, a sensation that made it difficult to breathe. She hadn't expected to see him there, and the shock had clearly rattled her.

Her initial reaction was to hide. But where? She couldn't very well run away; she was a bridesmaid. She swallowed hard, trying to regain some degree of composure. Her hand reached up and brushed against the silk of her dress.

He was heading her way. She braced herself. She plastered a smile on her face, the effort of which made her jaw ache.
