The coffee shop buzzed with a Saturday morning energy, but Amelia could only focus on the barista's announcement. "And now, for our next performer, we have Sarah, singing a song she wrote..." Her stomach lurched. The song. Her song. It was playing. She felt her hands growing clammy, and she clasped them tightly in her lap, willing them to stay still. The casual atmosphere was at odds with the turmoil inside her.

The barista, whose name she didn't know, put on the music. Amelia looked around, at all the people talking and laughing. They didn't know what was happening to her. Each passing second seemed to stretch into an eternity.
