Rain lashed against the window of Maya’s studio, mimicking the drumming inside her. She missed the days when her life was simple, when all she cared about was creating. She missed her youth. She was scrubbing at her own hands, trying to remove a stubborn spot of paint, when she saw it. A video online. Someone had tattooed her "Ephemeral Bloom" piece on their calf.

A wave of… something… washed over her. She knew she shouldn’t feel anything. She had spent a lot of time and effort moving on. She hadn't thought about it in years.
