He sat on the porch swing, the rhythmic creak a constant companion. The setting sun painted the sky in hues of orange and purple, the same colors he saw as a boy. He inhaled the scent of honeysuckle, a fragrance that transported him to his childhood, to carefree summers and whispered promises.
