Gemotions

The city bus rumbled down the street, each jolt a sharp reminder of the passing years. The newspaper in front of him announced the cost of everything. Ben's paycheck was mentioned somewhere. Frank, however, felt a strange pang.

He remembered riding the same bus as a child, on his way to see his grandparents. He remembered the feeling of being small, the world full of possibilities.

He looked around at the other passengers, the faces a tapestry of ages and experiences. The world was different, yet the same. He felt like his own place in it had shifted somehow.
