Gemotions

The wind whipped around Amelia as she found the wallet, swirling fallen leaves around her feet. The crispness of the autumn air, the vibrant hues of the trees, and this discovery... it was a beautiful parallel to a time long gone. The colors and sensations brought back a flood of memories.

Inside the wallet, a shocking amount of cash, more than she had seen in one place in years. It was almost too much to take in at first. A crumpled theatre ticket fell out, dated from 1988, for a play she used to love. The handwriting on it was the kind that just isn’t around anymore.

A wave of warmth spread through her. The world felt brighter, kinder, for just a moment. She could feel the ghost of a smile on her face. She would do what was right, of course. Eventually. But for now, she'd sit here a bit longer, remembering.
