The old house felt hollow, echoing with the silence of decades. Arthur, now alone after his wife’s passing, found the wallet tucked inside a dusty trunk in the attic. The air was thick with the scent of mothballs and forgotten things.

He opened it, finding a significant amount of money. A small, pressed flower had been tucked into a side pocket. He recognized it immediately: a forget-me-not, the same type his wife used to pick for him.

He touched the fragile petals. He was brought back to them as they were, in that perfect moment. A world of memories, feelings, and the love he had for her. Turning this in was a matter of principle. But for a moment, he thought, just a moment, he could be young again.
