Coach Olsen surveyed the cross-country track, the winding paths, the trees that lined the course. He remembered the exhilaration, the exhaustion, and the shared camaraderie of his own high school running days. He saw a young runner, so full of potential, so driven. He saw the young girl and felt the weight of the moment. Now, he must have a conversation.

He thought of the sun, the wind, and the relentless drive that fueled his own journey. He recalled the countless hours of training, the feeling of his lungs burning with exertion. He wanted to give this girl the proper sendoff.

He tightened his jaw and started walking toward the team, the task ahead of him a heavy burden.
