Gemotions

The aroma of freshly baked bread filled the room, taking him straight back to his childhood kitchen. He looked at the bakery's recipe – the same ingredients, the same method, the same careful measurements he'd used in his youth. The baker, a woman with flour dusting her apron, greeted him kindly. "It's about carrying on traditions, you know?" A wave of warmth washed over him. The familiar taste, the familiar scent, all served to remind him of a place he could no longer physically access, yet remained so close to his heart.
