Gemotions

The incessant drum beat, a relentless pulse, vibrated through Eleanor's small cottage, stirring up a sensation she wasn't quite accustomed to. It felt invasive. She opened her mouth to complain, but the words caught in her throat.

She found herself walking towards her piano. Her fingers, gnarled with age, ran over the ivory keys, producing a gentle melody. She thought of her youth, when she used to play for hours. The music brought to mind so many memories.

She closed her eyes, imagining herself in her younger years, the grand pianos in beautiful concert halls. The sound of the music next door, however annoying, felt so familiar. The feelings inside her were hard to contain, and she realized the noise brought back the most incredible memories.
