Gemotions

He stared at the grade, his mind blank. It was the same feeling he got when he was a child, trying to navigate a new set of rules to a game he was unfamiliar with. He felt a tightness in his chest. He stood up and absentmindedly began straightening the books on his shelf, each one a different reminder of a different time. The cover of a book on a shelf caught his attention; it reminded him of a library trip with his mom. He smiled, and wanted to hold on to the feeling for longer, to remember what life was like back then.
