Gemotions

The snow fell softly outside, the world muffled by a pristine white blanket. Inside, the fire crackled merrily in the hearth, casting dancing shadows on the walls. Liam poured himself a glass of whiskey, the amber liquid swirling in the crystal.

He had found the manuscript on the bookshelf, amongst their favorite titles. The story, written by his wife, echoed their relationship and their shared life, including all the beautiful moments. He felt as if she had revealed a new part of herself.

He thought of all the years they had been together. The first time they met. Their first kiss. He closed his eyes, a feeling of melancholy washing over him, as he thought about how their story now had a new chapter.
