Gemotions

The parking space, once occupied by her Mini Cooper, was a stark void. The note, she read it carefully, then ripped it in half, then half again. It was a game to them, a power trip. She would not play.

She had a perfectly good reason for parking there, a list of them actually, too long to list in a complaint. Her jaw was tight, her fists clenched. Instead of calling anyone, she walked around the property. She looked at her rose bushes, checking them for pests, a deliberate, slow inspection. She looked at the ivy that she had spent years tending.
